Common FAQs

Costs & Payments

Domain Name is just the techy way of saying website address, URL or web link, ie www.Example.com. And hosting is basically storage for your websites pages, content, images etc. For a 5-20 page website (non eCommerce), around about 100 GBP, 120 Euros/USD a year is about the normal rate. We cover the first 12 months if you do not already have hosting. Your domain name is around 10 GBP, 12 Euros/USD a year depending on the type (.co.uk, .com, .net etc). Larger websites will usually require hosting with higher processing power, so the pricing will depending on what types of functions the website has.

These are generic websites costs, if you have projects in mind that has thousands of users, thousands of hits a day, larger hosting would be advisable.

There is no broad answer here. Until we understand the specifics or what extras you may want, there is no point in being vague. You can get an online quote here though.

There are no monthly costs with us. Domains and hosting are annual. If you do require our help on a regular basis (adding content, updates, socials etc), then you would need to speak to Destiny about a monthly retainer package.

We will always mention any extras (which you do not have to have) in your quote. Some features do require extra tools to do certain jobs. You may want a shop integrating into your website that would need a credit card system and merchant features/security. You may want a members area only that has certain customised features.

Any graphic design and/or printing (business cards, exhibition POS, flyers, brochures etc) require 100% of payment up front.

For projects below £1,000: Payment is divided into two parts, with 50% due upfront and the remaining 50% payable upon completion.

For projects between £1,000 and £2,500: Payments are structured as 50% upfront, 25% halfway through the project, and the remaining 25% on completion.

For projects exceeding £2,500: Payments are made in four instalments: 25% upfront, followed by three equal instalments of 25% at halfway, three-quarters, and upon completion.

Privacy & Passwords

No, we have a policy not to know or ask for any of your passwords. If and when we need to access anything that requires your password (email settings, web admin, hosting accounts etc), we will ask you to change the password. Once we have completed the task, we ask you to change the password back to something private to yourself.

Anybody that will be given access to anything confidential, such a client information, personal details etc can/will sign a confidentiality agreement and also covered by our GDPR.

We have seen countless startups and ideas for businesses over the years, you will need to trust the company that you hire. We also have standard NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) forms that we are more than happy to supply you with or sign your own NDA’s. Again, anyone involved in your project will have to agree to the NDA.

Point of Contact & Updates

We prefer one point of contact, but we are happy to involve other members of your company/team with any and all contact. But we will not deal with conflicting opinions (they can slow down projects and cause extra costs for you and us), your inhouse decisions need to remain inhouse. Discussions are expected though.

We can have as little or as much communication throughout the build/project as you want, however you want. Email, phone, Whatsapp, file sharing, live view etc.

Image & Design Ownership

Any and all files, content, images are your property the second we receive the final or full payment.

If you require specific stock images, we can source and purchase these for you, giving you the right to use them. Any images, files etc that you supply us, we will assume you have the rights to use.

We use around 15 different, premium AI image generators, these do not incur extra costs to you. And you have all the rights to use them. Please note: AI images are not all perfect, they are great for some website or marketing imagery and they save rising stock image costs. But they are not yet capable of human artistic creativity.
